Our experienced lector will provide guidiance throughout the course in order to improve your legal English, currently preferred by the Slovak law firms. You will learn about the important differences in the use of terminology in the US, UK, other common law jurisdictions and the European (continental) law.

I. part: Common Law and Civil Law, Contracts, Law of Torts, Criminal Law, Legal Writing I, Communication with Client, Reasoning.

II. part: Business Law, Company Law, Standard legal and business documents, Reading financial statements, Legal Writing II, Case studies

III. part: Real Estate Law, Litigation, Arbitration, Comparative Law (different common law jurisdictions), Conventions and Treaties, Legal Writing III., Study of Contracts and Treaties

Juraj Streďanský

Juraj enjoys meeting all kinds of people, and having dynamic and inspiring discussions when teaching. His motto is “everyone has something to teach us, and it is our job to learn to see it”.

He graduated in translating and interpreting in  German and Polish. He has been interested in English from an early age, when he started attending English language courses, meeting people from English speaking countries and watching lots of films. When he started teaching English and German in the last year of his studies he realised this was the job he had been looking for and never looked back.

Juraj has lived abroad for a total of one- and- a- half years, in Germany, Poland and Ireland. After each return home he realised that Bratislava is his “home sweet home” and so settled down here. He has been a full-time teacher since 2008, teaching corporate clients of various positions and levels.

His biggest passion besides work is music and playing drums, and contemplating the deeper meaning of life and the world, which he cannot imagine without his family and friends.
